Newspapers and Magazines

The Lexington Herald-Leader is Lexington's major daily newspaper. Several other specialty publications are based in Lexington, including Annals of the Association of American Geographers, The Blood-Horse, Horseman and Fair World, Kentucky Kernel, and State Government News. Around the Town is Lexington's entertainment and restaurant guide.

Television and Radio

ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox all have Lexington affiliate stations, as does PBS. In addition, the region's viewers can tune in stations originating in nearby cities. The local cable television provider is Insight Communications. Thirteen public and commercial radio stations are based in Lexington and offer music, sports, and news.
