  • 2-301.14(E) - --In the deli, an employee touched the handles on the faucet of the hand sink before touching the food contact surface of a single use lid, that was being used for a customer's drink, without washing her hands between tasks. Corrected on site (COS)- educated employee on proper hand washing, employee washed her hands and then used a different lid for the customer's drink. Observed by KDA69.
  • KDA_3_10111 - --Located on a shelf in the produce area walk in cooler (WIC), there were two containers of strawberries and one bag of baby carrots that were moldy. Employee indicated that another employee had likely put these items there and that they were supposed to be thrown out. COS- discarded.
  • KDA_3_30211A1a - --Located in the deli WIC, there were containers of raw chicken stored over a container of cut raw potatoes. COS- moved potatoes.
  • KDA_3_30211A1b - --Located in the retail area meat reach in cooler (RIC), there were packages of raw turkey bacon stored above packages of fully cooked turkey bacon. COS- moved fully cooked turkey bacon above the raw bacon. Located in the retail area bacon and eggs RIC, there were packages of raw bacon stored next to packages of fully cooked bacon. COS- put a divider between the two types of bacon. Located in the butcher area WIC, there was a box of fully cooked pork chops stored in contact with a package of raw whole muscle beef. COS- moved cooked pork chops to another shelf.
  • KDA_3_30212 - --Located on a bread rack in the bakery area, there were two unlabeled containers of white powder that an employee identified as flour and sugar. COS- labeled. Located in the deli cabinet under the meat slicer, there was an unlabeled container of clear liquid which an employee identified as white oil for the slicer. COS- labeled.

Located in the bread aisle, there was a box of sugar ice cream cones being stored on the floor. Located in the stock room WIF, there were boxes of donuts and pails of ice cream being stored on the floor. There was a cart of packages of sliced bread being stored outside behind the stock room. COS- employee moved bread inside.

  • KDA_3_50116A2 - --Located in the deli cold case, there was a package of deli roast beef at 45F, a package of deli beef roast at 45F, a package of deli chicken at 45F, a package of deli corned beef at 45F, a package of deli oven roasted turkey at 46F, a package of deli turkey off the bone at 44F, a container of potato salad at 45F, and a container of coleslaw at 48F. Employee indicated that the cooler had just run a defrost cycle and that the temperature in the cooler raises during that time. Ambient air temperature was 41.7F. COS- moved all potentially hazardous foods from the cold case to the walk in freezer (WIF) to cool down to temperature before placing them back in the deli cold case. Located in a Styrofoam cup on the counter behind the deli hot and cold cases, there were individual packets of butter at 67F in an ice bath. Employee indicated that they had been out since 6am this morning. COS- discarded and educated about proper ice bath techniques. Located in the retail produce area, there were 26 salad kits at 57F, 3 packages of commercially prepared fruit trays with cut melon at 49F, 3 packages of mixed fruit with cut melon from the produce area at 51F, 5 packages of cut watermelon at 49F, 6 containers of hummus at 50F, 6 containers of veggie dip at 50F, 7 Smart Patties at 48F, and 15 packages of tofu at 48F. Ambient air temperature of the RIC was 41F on one side and 43.7F on the other side. Temperatures were higher in the front of the cooler and most food toward the back of the cooler was in correct temperature. COS- discarded all potentially hazardous foods that were not stocked this morning, moved all of the potentially hazardous foods that were stocked this morning and in the front of the cooler to the produce WIC. Employee turned the air in the cooler down to a lower temperature. Educated person in charge (PIC) on monitoring temperatures in this cooler.
  • KDA_3_50118A3 - --Located in the McCall RIC in the deli area, there were two containers of strawberry cheesecake dessert that were date marked for 9-8. Employee indicated that they date mark these desserts for 10 days. The dessert is made with a non dairy mousse. The directions on the mousse package say to keep it refrigerated after mixing with water. COS- redated.
