Greenville: Majors Stadium was home to a minor league team (the Greenville Majors) in the 1940's and 1950's. While the ballpark is now gone, there are a couple remnants still remaining - the arched entryway (above) and a building which housed some of the locker rooms. Also, an historical marker has been placed here. An evidenced by what's written on the plaque, the most famous event to take place here was an exhibition game with the New York Yankees in 1949. Just a cool piece of baseball history and definitely worth checking out if you're passing by Greenville- Ball Park Reviews
