Beaches of South Walton


The Beaches of South Walton include 15 different beaches in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. The beaches all feature clear blue waters that lap the shorelines and provide an ideal vacation destination for families. The beaches include Alys Beach, the newest of the collection. The town is modeled after architecture in Guatemala, Bermuda and Antigua. Blue Mountain Beach was named for the legend of the sailors that would travel toward the beach and spot the dunes, some of which are among the highest on the Gulf Coast. Grayton Beach is one of the original beach communities in South Walton and offers oyster-shell roads. Dune Allen Beach is residential and features several rental properties, as well as dining and shopping establishments. Miramar Beach is one of the more laid-back beaches in the area. Inlet Beach is located at the eastern edge of South Walton and was named for Phillips Inlet. Sandestin Beach is home to the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, as well as the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort and Spa and Grand Boulevard at Sandestin. Rosemary Beach is another of the relatively undeveloped areas that is primarily just a stretch of sand and surf. The other beaches that make up South Walton include Seacrest, Santa Rosa, Seagrove, WaterColor, Seaside, Seascape and Watersound.
