California Center for the Arts, Escondido


Designed as a multi-discipline arts complex on a 12-acre campus, the California Center for the Arts, Escondido seeks to enrich the community by providing a broad variety of high-quality artistic, cultural, educational, social, and entertainment experiences. Its facilities include two theaters, art and education studios, a museum, and a 9,000-square-foot conference center available for conventions, fundraisers, weddings, gala receptions, banquets.

Some of the most diverse performing arts programs in the region are presented in the Center's 404-seat theater and 1,523-seat concert hall. Past shows have ranged from Jewel, Faith Hill, and the Moody Blues to the stand-up comedy of Bill Maher and the classical music of the Moscow State Radio Symphony. Once a month, Free First Wednesday performances are staged under the sponsorship of Wells Fargo Bank. Space is available for stage performances, orchestral concerts, dance productions, community theater groups, rehearsals, and video and audio recordings.

The California Center for the Arts, Escondido also houses a contemporary art museum. Museum hours are from 10am to 4pm on Tuesday through Saturday and 1pm till 5pm on Sundays; closed on Mondays. General admission costs $5, with a $1 discount for seniors and military personnel; students pay $3 and children under 12 are free of charge.

The California Center for the Arts, Escondido is located at 340 North Escondido Boulevard, Escondido, California 92025. The north lot adjacent to the Concert Hall is available to guests for parking free of charge.
