Sycuan Casino

The 130 tribal members of the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation developed the Sycuan Casino on their reservation near San Diego as a revenue source for the Native American community. It has been their most profitable venture to date and supports a variety of programs, from fire safety and water conservation efforts to food banks and pow-wows that help strengthen tribal sovereignty.

The casino floor covers 218,000 square feet, featuring some 2,000 slots and video poker machines along with eighty-four gaming tables. Blackjack, Caribbean Stud, Sycuan Craps, and Mystery Card Roulette are just a few of the table games played here. Also available are a bingo parlor, a keno lounge, a poker room, and a race book. The property is open for gaming 24 hours a day.

For dining on the premises, there are four restaurants. Wachena serves breakfast, lunch and dinner from 6am to 2am; Paipa's Oasis Buffet specializes in all-you-can-eat fare; and the Sunset Deli has salads, sandwiches, pizza, pastries, and cheesecakes. There is also a snack bar on the second floor by the bingo area, offering burgers, sandwiches, and desserts.

The Sycuan Casino is located 30 minutes east of downtown San Diego in picturesque Dehesa Valley. The address is 5469 Casino Way, El Cajon, California 92019. It is also affiliated with the 100-room Sycuan Resort, just three miles away.
