Intel Corp and Museum


Intel Corporation was founded in 1968 to manufacture semiconductor memory products. Three years later, the company introduced the world's first microprocessor. Today, Intel is a world leader in silicon innovation, focused on developing technologies, products, and initiatives that help improve the ways in which people work and live.

Located in Santa Clara, the Intel Corp headquarters is a must-see for anyone visiting Silicon Valley. A wealth of information on Intel's microprocessors and company history is on display in the Intel Museum, located inside the company's Robert Noyce Building. Exhibits are constantly changing, with emphasis on computers and the latest Intel technology.

Featured here are 40 years of innovation, from microprocessor history to silicon chip design and fabrication. Many of the exhibits are interactive, encouraging visitors to explore technology in a fun and educational manner. Museum maps are available in Chinese (Mandarin), English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish. There is also a Museum Store for purchasing souvenirs.

Intel Corporation and its Intel Museum are located at 2200 Mission College Boulevard, Santa Clara, California 95054-1549. Admission and parking are free. Hours of operation are from 9am to 6pm on Monday through Friday and 10am to 5pm on Saturdays. Self-guided visits are always welcome. Guided tours are accommodated as much as possible, but advanced reservations are advisable.
