Museum of Jurassic Technology

The Museum of Jurassic Technology is located in Culver City, a portion of Los Angeles, California. It is open to the public to help educate them on the lower Jurassic period. The museum has two functions: to provide academic information and display their collection. The displays are based on the Lower Jurassic period with an emphasis on relics and repository items found around the world and in California.

The museum is open Thursday from 2pm to 8pm, Friday through Sunday 12pm to 6pm. There is a theater called the Tula Tea Room and Borzoi Kabinet Theater, which is open for an hour before and after the front desk is open. They serve tea and cookies during the film. The museum is free but they appreciate a donation of $5 for adults and $3 for children.

There is a permanent collection just inside the entry foyer where a number of Jurassic artifacts are on display. They relate to natural history and the history of science. For example, Megloaponera Foetens, The Stink Ant of the Cameroon, Bernard Maston and Deprong Mori of the Tripiscum Pleateau exhibit, and Fruit Stone Carving are part of the permanent section.
