Sierra Towers

Considered by many to be the Sunset Strip's most fashionable residential address, the residential high-rise condominium building known as Sierra Towers is often included on the itinerary of Hollywood and Beverly Hills tours. It was designed in 1965 by Jack A. Charney, a renowned Beverly Hills contemporary architect, and originally named the Spoon Apartment Building. At 32 stories high and set on the base of a tall hill, it is the tallest apartment building in the greater Los Angeles Area and towers above all other building within two miles.

Apart from its height, Sierra Towers is noted for its famous residents. They have included champion jockey Bill Shoemaker, singing diva Cher, actress/singer Diahann Carroll, and musician Sir Elton John, as well as boxer Evander Holyfield, actor George Hamilton, and actress Joan Collins. Among others who have lived here are Lindsay Lohan, Matthew Perry, Nikki Haskell, Peter Lawford, P.J. Harvey, Rachel Zoe, Sidney Poitier, and Vincent Gallo. It is also famous as the death place of actor Jack Webb, star of the TV series Dragnet, who passed away here in 1982 of a heart attack at age 62.

Sierra Towers is located in the West Hollywood area at 9255 Doheny Road, Los Angeles, California 90069-3201. Many of its 146 units are available for sale or lease.
