Suisun Wildlife Center

Suisun Wildlife Center was incorporated in 1977 in Suisun City, California. The Wildlife Rescue and Release Services as part of Suisun Wildlife Center helps assist injured or orphaned animals. Many of these animals are cared for before releasing them back into the wild. Peytonia Ecological Reserve in Suisun is next door to the wildlife center. It will have the Nature Complex that will soon be a part of Suisun Wildlife Center at 1171 Kellogg Street.

The main function of the wildlife center is to rescue animals such as birds, mammals, and reptiles. For those animals that cannot be released back into the wild the Suisun Wildlife Center houses them. Since opening their doors, the center has obtained over 200 different animals in a range of species designations. They have rereleased around 30,000 animals cared for back into the wild.

The Suisun Wildlife Center is permitted by the Fish and Game of California and US Department of Fish and Wildlife. The center must conduct their work based on guidelines from these two government companies. It is possible to be a member of the Suisun Wildlife Center and to volunteer to help animals in need at the center.
