Vans Skatepark at the Block at Orange

Vans Skatepark is also referred to as the Block of Orange to those locals who grew up in the area of Orange, California. Located at 20 City Blvd West in Orange, California, the Block of Orange opened in 1999 on an old shopping center site that hosts the skate park today. Top professional and amateur skateboarders who live locally and skateboarders from all around the world tend to session this skatepark surfaced with wood and concrete.

Highlights of the park include a remake of the Upland Pipeline Skate Park Combi-Bowl, an X-Games style vert ramp, a 2' mini ramp, a 5' to 6' mini-ramp with death box, a large tranny/street style skate plaza, a mini tranny/street style plaza, and an outdoor old school type skate area with large cement banks and a pyramid. The park is not for the beginners and most of the time visitors can witness the paramedics pulling up to haul someone off who has been injured while skating. The skate surface is considered slippery which is why there have been so many injuries but the park remains one of the best of its kind. Advanced and intermediate skaters adore the park and return day after day to skate out the terrain.
