Remarks: DEER RAN INTO SIDE OF A/C. BODY WAS STRUCK BY PROP WHICH STOPPED IMMED. I COMPLETED THE ROLLOUT & PUSHED A/C OFF RWY. THEN WE FOUND THE DEER & DRAGGED IT OFF TOO. ARPT WAS DARK EXCEPT FOR RWY LIGHT. I NEVER SAW THE DEER UNTIL IT HIT THE A/C. NIGHT PRACTICE LANDINGS. STUDENT PILOT & INSTRUCTOR. A/C HAD DAMAGED PROP & COWLING. AN INJURY WAS REPORTED BUT NO DETAILS GIVEN.

Remarks: AT LEAST x DEER RAN ONTO RWY. PILOT CLOSED THE THROTTLE, APPLIED BRAKES & FULL BACK ON YOKE. A/C SKIDDED. DIRECTIONAL CONTROL MAINTAINED. x DEER PASSED UNDER L WING. AT END OF SKID, A/C TIPPED FWD CAUSING PROP TO HIT THE RWY & A/C RESTED ON THE PROP. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES WHEN DEER HAVE BEEN ON THE RWY. PILOT THINKS BRUSH & GRASS SHOULD BE REMOVED OR MOWED FOR SOME DISTANCE FROM RWY & A TALL FENCE BE INSTALLED.
