My grandfather was a fire chief at an old airport located southwest of Santa Fe in the 1940's, and he and his family lived on-site at the airport. I was told by my grandmother that Albert Einstein landed at this airport due to bad weather late one night, on his way to visit Los Alamos. I am trying to find any information available on the name of this facility. I have pictures of him, along with several other firemen, at the airport, but there is nothing on the pictures to identify the name of the airport or anything else. Any information that you might be able to provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your assistance.
