Remarks: ID BY SMITHSONIAN FAA 398. APPROX 30 MINUTES AFTER SUNDOWN, A FLOCK OF ABOUT 20 SIZEABLE BIRDS CAME INTO RANGE OF THE LDG LIGHT. THERE WERE 3-4 DIRECT HITS TO FUSELAGE, WING LDG GEAR AND PROP. BIRDS WERE NOT SEEN UNTIL ILLUMINATED BY LDG LIGHT. SPLATTER AND REMAINS WERE SIGNIFICANT OVER A LRG AREA OF A/C. INITIAL EXAM DID NOT REVEAL ANY DMG. FURTHER INSPN IS UNDERWAY. A/C = LANCAIR SUPER ES ONE PROP WAS BENT CAUSING VIB. ALSO DAMAGED WAS L LDG GEAR STRUT FAIRING. (DMG INFO CAME FROM EMAIL)
