Former Site of Schwab's Pharmacy

The Former Site of Schwab's Pharmacy in West Hollywood, California is still an important landmark. The pharmacy was torn down in 1988 because the pharmacy was no longer there and it was seen as a place that should go in order to redevelop the area for luxury and sophistication. Despite the building being torn down many still flock to the former site. It is located on Sunset Boulevard and there was a time Schwab Pharmacy was the most famous of its kind.

The exact address is 8024 Sunset Boulevard, West Hollywood, California. Anyone who takes a legitimate city tour will find the guide will mention the site as they walk along Sunset Boulevard pointing out other landmark locations. Schwab's Pharmacy was most popular in the 1930s to 1950s, as a hangout for movie industry "dealmakers". The store sold medicine, ice cream dishes, and light meals, so it was more than just a pharmacy. They closed their doors in 1983.
