Honda Center Anaheim, California


The Honda Center opened in 1993 under the name of the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim. This indoor arena is affectionately known as The Pond by the locals. The arena hosts the National Hockey league's Anaheim Ducks. The arena was named for the city of Anaheim when it was first built. The City of Anaheim owns the arena, but the operator of the arena is the Anaheim Arena Management, LLC. The address is 2695 E. Katella Avenue.

Barry Manilow performed in a concert for opening night. Since that time they have hosted the Stanley Cup Finals, World Wrestling Entertainment, Gwen Stefani, David Bowie, Nine Inch Nails, Aerosmith, Mariah Carey, Gloria Estefan, Barbra Streisand and other famous performers. During the time period of 1994 - 1998 it was the second home of the NBA Los Angeles Clippers.

There are two attractions that are close to the Honda Center. They are Angel Stadium and Disneyland. Visitors can walk from the Amtrak and Metrolink's Anaheim station. The station is located at the Angel Stadium parking lot.

The Honda Arena is versatile and can seat over seventeen thousand for a hockey game. When the arena needs to be converted to an amphitheater it takes five hours and will then seat 8,400 people. The building has eighty-four luxury suites. There are four state of the art video screens that can be used at theater events.

The Box Office is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The Saturday hours are from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The Honda Arena box office is only open on Sundays if there is an event. They open three hours prior to the event's start. Tickets can also be purchased at any Ticketmaster Outlet such as Robinson's - May, The Wherehouse, Ritmo Latino, and Tu Musica. The Will Call Window opens one and a half hours before the event starts. Guests picking up tickets need a photo ID and the credit used to purchase the tickets.

Some of the upcoming attractions at the Honda Arena are the Improv Ice featuring Evan Lysacek.. The Goo Goo Dolls are also scheduled to perform. The later part of the year will be filled with hockey games.

There is plenty of parking at the Honda Arena. General parking is twenty dollars for concerts and fifteen dollars for the Ducks, Family or Sporting Events. Preferred parking when it is available is twenty-five dollars for concerts and twenty-five dollars for all other events as well. RV's are allowed to park for thirty dollars for concerts and other events. Limos may park for forty dollars for concerts and twenty-five dollars for all other events.

Food is available at the concession stands on the Plaza Level, the Club Level and the Terrace Level. The food that is available comes from Oggi's Pizza, Franks-a-lot, and Rubio's Fresh Mexican Grill. Beer and soft drinks are on all three levels. The Terrace Level has the Club Deli, Tequila Grill, Main Street Deli and the other restaurants to serve the patrons.
