For more than a quarter century, the non-profit International City Theatre (ICT) has been bringing affordable, high-quality, professional stage productions to the Southern California community. Each year, its season consists of five plays, complemented by a holiday show and seven separate outreach programs. Among the many awards the ICT has received are the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle's Award for Sustained Excellence in the Theatre and the Workforce Diversity Best Practices Award from the Chamber of Commerce.
ICT performances and programs are enjoyed by some 75,000 people annually. All of its work is funded through ticket sales and donations from individuals, corporations, foundations, and the government. Shows run for about four weeks apiece, with single tickets costing from $29 for regular seats to $150 for the front row orchestra section. Dinner packages, including a three-course meal at L'Opera or the Sky Room, start at $139 for two, all inclusive. Annual subscriptions are available, too.
The International City Theatre is located inside the Center Theater of the Long Beach Performing Arts Center at 300 East Ocean Boulevard, Long Beach, California 90802. It is behind the Terrace Theater. Covered parking is available nearby at the intersection of East Seaside Way and South Hart Place.
