Mary Leveroni Community Park

Mary Leveroni Community Park is one of the largest public parks in Groveland, California. The park was established as part of a train turn around station in the early 1900s. It is also a site near O'Shaunessy Dam and Hetch Hecthy Water Project. Groveland survives by the dam gaining water from it for power and drinking. A population of about 10,000 lives in Groveland, as well as uses the park each year.

The train yard is now part of the park since it is no longer needed for train operations. There is a play area with jungle gym, picnic facilities, horseshoe pit, and bathrooms. There is also parking onsite. The park has an annual antique car show in June offering plenty of fun, food, and cars to look at. There is also the 49er Festival and Chili Cook Off held in September for locals and visitors to enjoy. A flag ceremony is held in November. Throughout the summer Groveland's Mary Laveroni Community Park hosts Saturday Night outdoor movies.

For those who enjoy reading the museum library is nearby. Yosemite is also a good place to stop before going to the park if one wants a hiking adventure first.
