The Old Mill Park is located at 300 Throckmorton Avenue in Mill Valley, California and is a charming little park that offers a quiet refuge among a historic mill site. A small playground for children is the drawing card of this park and includes plastic and wood structures including bridges, slides, toddler bucket swings, tic tac toe, tunnel ladders, rings, and more. Children and adults may climb on an original gravity train that sits in the park and replicas of the old mill have been constructed over the creek. Parking is free and along street making access to the park convenient, especially with small children.
On site park restrooms are open to the public and located in the park complete with running water. A drinking fountain is located just outside the bathrooms. The park is close to many dining options and downtown restaurants. The Mill Valley Market is a popular place to stock up on items before heading to the Old Mill Park for a picnic. The park offers some picnic tables but space is limited. Many visitors choose to spread a blanket out on the grass and have their picnic on the ground. Easy access to the children's play area can be found in the park.
