Olivet Memorial Park located at 1601 Hillside Boulevard, Colma, California is a cemetery. It was the sixth established cemetery in the state of California. Its establishment date was June 11, 1895. At the time it was called Mt. Olivet Cemetery. It was renamed Olivet Memorial Park on April 25, 1929. The office for the cemetery was built in 1896. William H. Crim Jr. was the architect on the project; he came from San Francisco to make the building. This original building is now a museum visitors can tour, and is run by the Colma Historical Association.
There are a few famous graves a visitor may want to stop by including Arthur Barker or Doc. Doc Barker was a gangster and the third son of Kate "Ma" Barker. Much of his life was spent in prison. Another famous criminal buried there is Joseph Bowers known for a post office robbery in which he obtained a 25 year sentence.
Margeurite de la Motte, a dancer, worked in films such as The Mark of Zorro and the Three Musketeers. Ishi, a historical figure and Native American was buried on the cemetery grounds. He was a survivor of the Three Knolls Massacre.
