Palm Canyon Trail

How to get to the trail: enter the Indian Canyons and continue on the main road about 2 miles to the Trading Post. Parking is available and follow the signs indicating the direction to the trail.

Walk down the paved trail from the Trading Post and go to the right up in the canyon. There are groves of Palm Trees and vegetation as well as an assortment of wildlife. Continue to hike upstream for about 1 mile and cross the stream bed and follow the south side of the canyon. Another 1/4 mile will lead to an intersection. Hike further up the Palm Canyon Trail turn right and cross the creek.

Here begins the climb atop the oasis. The trail continues for 15 miles where it intersects Pinon Pines. This should only be attempted by hikers in excellent shape and with the right amount of provisions such as water and food. For those who do not want to hike 15 miles to Pinon Pines, the canyon has many trails that offer the hiker beautiful views of waterfalls and the beautiful San Jacinto Mountains, and the Santa Rosa Mountains in the backdrop. Favorite destinations in Palm Canyon are "Lost Paradise ", and "Bulls eye Rock."
