Post Ranch Inn

On the cliffs of Big Sur, California stands the Post Ranch Inn for family, leisure, or business getaways. The resort is made of organic materials, mostly fine woods and glass windows. Guests can view the Pacific Ocean from most of the rooms as well as explore nearby San Francisco and Carmel. The hotel is just off highway One. It offers spa, in room treatments, daily yoga, and swimming pools. The Sierra Mar Restaurant is award winning with fresh seafood delights and typical California fare.

The hotel is like a ranch with its d├ęcor and architecture, but far from the typical ranch house. Bath essentials, robes, television, in room movies, turndown services, concierge, and iron/ ironing boards are all available at the hotel. Options at the hotel include the Cliff House, Pacific Suites, Ocean House, Coast House, Peak House, Tree House, Mountain Room, and Butterfly. Each of these accommodations is single or two stories. The Butterfly room is shaped like a butterfly with one room on each level. The Post House and South Coast House are other possibilities. Rates will range from $550 to over $2,000 per night based on the choice of guest house. The rooms have wood burning fireplaces and king size beds.
