Those visiting San Francisco will enjoy a trip to Portrero Hill where they can find dining, shopping and fun in a true Golden Gate City neighborhood. The area is on the east side of the city. It is bordered by the Mission District and the South market Area. The east side of the neighborhood features a number of docks that rise over a landfill. Portreo Hill features a variety of things to do and see. The Anchor Steam Brewery is a popular destination for visitors. The area on the northern side of the hill is where you will find most of the shops and restaurants and the neighborhood is home to the California Culinary Academy.
