Scientopia, Napa


Scientopia is a children's discovery center and museum. It is a location for children to learn about math, science, art, and music with hands-on exhibits. There are plenty of creative play areas and events held at this public venue in Napa, Napa Valley, California. Some of the displays include play spaces, hands-on science like water flow, recycle arts and crafts, educational toys and an outdoor play area. The outdoor area has a garden, along with a toy shop nearby.

Hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday 9:30am to 5pm. They are open on Mondays for major holidays, but close for Thanksgiving and Christmas. On Saturdays and Sundays, Scientopia is closed for private parties and special events. Admission includes an all day entry pass. The cost is $7 for adults and children. The 2nd adult of a family is free. If one arrives after 2:30pm the cost is $5. Seniors are $5 anytime of the day.

Among the exhibits include a magnet table where children can learn about magnetic force, including how opposites attract. Bernoulli Blower demonstrates the Bernoulli principle of Science. Static charge is shown through the Van De Graff Generator. They offer a variety of bubble exhibits to display think layers of water and how it can be stretched.
