Tomboys in Fishnets

Tomboys in Fishnets is an all girl sketch comedy group that has been performing in Los Angeles since the year 2000. The Tomboys take their comedy beyond the feminist male-bashing and take equal satirical shots at men, women, and children alike. Their live show features a total of 20 different sketches in just one hour's time and always ends with a satirical strip tease.

Tomboys prides itself with being on the cutting edge of pop culture and humor that reaches the younger demographic. Several of their projects have received national attention in publications such as L.A. Weekly, and the Daily Show blog. Many of their sketches center around every day events in life that are annoying, funny, frustrating, and exhilarating. One of their favorite things to do is poke fun at Hollywood figures and pop culture trends. Many people compare Tomboys in Fishnets as the female version of Saturday Night Live.

Much of their marketing outside of Los Angeles is done via social networking and videos. The Tomboys have several internet videos, blogs, and social networking sites where people can go and view their material. Much of the material is adult in nature and not created for those under the age of 18.
