American Jewish people: who are they?

It’s no secret that Jewish people are living in many countries around the globe. The Jewish expatriate community in the United Stated is one of the largest. Pew Research Center suggested two main categories of American Jews in 2013: Jews by religion and Jews of no religion. Jews by religion are those who do not profess any other religion and who described their religion as Jewish. Jews of no religion are those who have a Jewish parent or were raised Jewish, but described their religion as atheist or nothing in particular. Almost 80 percent of Jews in 2013 identified themselves as religious, and 22 percent were Jews of no religion. The survey showed that one in ten American Jews are Orthodox.

Country of many religions: Orthodox Christianity

America is not only a country of many opportunities, but also a country of many religions. Historically, people from around the world traveled to America to create one of the most diverse and eclectic communities of different religions. Immigrants and their children comprise the largest parts of the Orthodox Christian, Islam and Catholic religions. Let’s examine the role of Orthodox Christianity in the America.
