The growth in gun-related crime is becoming an issue in California. The state’s firearm homicide rate had already been rising for two years in 2016, and the data for 2017 doesn’t look very bright either.

Last year, 2,100 gun-related incidents with victims occurred in California, excluding accidental shootings. This number is the second highest of all states, second only to Illinois.

1,701 people were injured and another 1,113 were killed.

What are America’s favorite movie genres?

There are many movie genres in the American film industry, but which are the most popular in the United States? According to the statistics from 1995 to 2017, the leader amongst the movie genres was adventure movies, which generated a total box office revenue of more than $45 billion. Comedy films ranked second with $42.66 billion in the box office revenue. The cinema-friendly action genre ranked third, pulling in a total box office revenue of $37.08 billion. After action came the drama genre, generating $33.56 billion in box office revenue from 1995 to 2017. Lastly, the fifth most popular genre was thriller/suspense — the box office revenue of this genre amounted to $17.06 billion.

Many years ago, hunting was a necessity for survival. In current times, hunting has developed into a form of sport and recreation in Western countries. In the U.S., hunting is generally regulated on a state-by-state basis, but hunters nationwide are required to hold a hunting license regardless of state. In 2013, about 14 million people participated in hunting in the U.S.

In 2011, American hunters spent an average of $2,484 on hunting, a significant increase from 2006, when the average hunter spent approximately $2,050. In 2001, the average hunter’s expenditures in the U.S. amounted to $2,001.

Baltimore is a city that is particularly known for its high crime rate ­— so much so, in fact, that there is an entire Wikipedia article about crime in the city.

Now that 2017 is over, it’s time to look back and see if the situation has improved. At first glance, it appears to not have improved. Here’s a map showing every intentional shooting with at least one victim in Baltimore. You can click on any marker to see details of the incident.

The sweetest part of the frozen foods industry is the frozen desserts category. The frozen desserts sector combines categories such as regular and low-fat ice cream, frozen yogurt, sherbet and other frozen treats.

A popular favorite, frozen yogurt is a frozen, low-calorie dessert which is often served in a wide range of flavors. The production of this type of dessert is nothing but impressive in the United States. In 2010, more than 50 million gallons of frozen yogurt were produced; by 2011, this number increased to 62.7 million gallons. While this increase is impressive, the following two years were the real celebration for frozen yogurt lovers.
