Just weeks after posting my commute blog, my company decided to offer two perks to employees . . . a compressed work week (which comprises an extra hour a day of work for every other Friday off) and teleworking up to two days a week.

I jumped on this chance, went immediately to sign up for both, practically the second the staff meeting where these perks were presented was out. I'm on my second Friday off. Can't say I've noticed a difference of an extra hour of work a day. I do get...

Resentment should be taken out and examined frequently -- at least for me -- lest it build.

So I've been commuting from my home approximately 70 miles to work now for about 7 years. There's any number of reasons why I might resent this -- and right after I started back to work full time after caring for my kiddos as a stay at home mom for about 10 years, I'll admit they were more prevalent.

But I thought I'd worked through the issues, picked them apart with a fine-tooth...
