InMatthew 12:39-40 it says, “But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” So, Jesus did spend three days in the grave, but is there significance to the words “the heart of the earth”. What did Jesus do while in the grave? Did Jesus go to hell?

In Luke 23:43 it says; “And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise”,yet after Jesus is raised to life on the third day he says to Mary, “Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.” (John 20:17) By comparing these two verses, Jesus did go to paradise the day...

Bible Thesis - topic 1

I want to write a Thesis on a topic of the bible, however I do not see in the future a chance for me to study for a doctored in Divinity, so I am posting my various ideas on this blog. The first was an email correspondence with Answersingenesis.org which I think is a valuable interpretation of The scripture.

Gen. 2:17b “for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”
