Halloween and Moving

Posted 10-30-2008 at 07:25 PM by $DFW8$
Well this is my first blog entry here on City-Data. I have to say that City-Data is one of my favorite websites now. I love it!

Anyways, I just wanted to tell everybody "Happy Halloween!" Anybody going to any Halloween parties or taking your kids trick or treating? We are taking the kids trick or treating Friday and then going to a Halloween Party at one of our friends house on Saturday in Plano. Everybody is going to be wearing costumes, so it should be interesting. ...

I have to say I have the most fun talking with my husband about members of City-Data. I can really get him wound up, and so confused
Can you imagine saying to someone who doesn't post on here....
" Gosh, Sausages is having 'copters flying above her home waking her up!"...
Its ........"Who?"........."Sausages?"

Times like, Scranbarre saying , " he loves Mini Coopers, and those Victorian homes" I'll have to get some pictures...

What I do is in home wine tastings and it raises monies for the prevention of homelessness. I also look for others that would like to do this. There's a couple states that won't let us ship wine in. But, it's such a cool job! We've got around 200 exclusive wines and a lot of them are award winners. They're also from all over the world.

The Search for a New Job in the Land of Old Jobs

Posted 10-30-2008 at 03:33 PM by jjbradleynyc
Well, I'm job hunting. It's not that I'm out of a job. But it certainly feels like I'm not very much "into" my current job. Oh yeah, I'm still working--still collecting my check--but every day I come into work, I'm unfortunately wishing I had a different "gig" now, or in the pipeline.

I view the job boards daily--careerbuilder, monster, yahoo hot jobs, and local job boards. Oh yeah, and also Craigslist. I'm getting interviews. I've had 6 or 8 since early September....
