I Say

"The greatest happiness is to vanquish your enemies, to chase them before you, to rob them of their wealth, to see those dear to them bathed in tears, to clasp to your bosom their wives and daughters"

Posted 11-18-2008 at 09:53 PM by KBD0127
My daughter was sexally assulated by another kid in her class, he has been touching and poking at her private parts for about 3 weeks now, we just found out. WE immediately took her to the ER had her examined and met the detectives at the school the very next morning. Today was a cold and windy day in the Pocono Mountains...blustery, a particular bear might say.

Days like this are when I miss my childhood home & my parents wood stove. We don't have a wood stove, but when I was a kid, I loved those first few days of cold weather when my dad would stoke up the stove...our home filling with that gentle warmth and familiar smell of seasoned firewood. insulation possible in old post and beam house

Posted 11-18-2008 at 07:01 PM by questionsaplenty
I have had differing opinions about the possibility of insulating our 200 yr old home. The plaster is intact and the exterior has the orig. wood siding. This means we freeze all winter. I was told the insulation would not have "chambers " to hold the filler. Another suggested putting tyvek on the interior and paneling over it. Help. I am a confused fix-it mom that needs answers. Thank you.

Another Useless Experience

Posted 11-18-2008 at 04:36 PM by StuckPA
Just had another in a long line of useless experiences in this useless city...

I walked down to the corner store to get some stuff and also had to mail something,I simply asked the clerk if the mailbox outside their store has pickups b/c I've seen vacant boxes before and I don't want my mail sitting there forever. So they just shrug their shoulders and give me a dirty look...which is something I've experienced since day one here.

They seem to be really versed on getting...
