Despite the slide in the real estate market over the last year, the spring and coming summer marketplace has provided some much anticipated optimism from buyers. With this optimism, real estate agents will tell you that activity is building with showings, prequals, buyers consultations and even....yes....Listing Consultations. Although the main word in still is "ACTIVITY" there is certainly an air of recovery on certain levels about the Lehigh Valley Housing Market.

Leavin' NYC

Last day in the Big Apple was much better. My husband was kind enough to be sensitive to my physical incapacity (ol' lady hips and knees!), and arranged for less walking, more trips via subway -- we even took a horse carriage ride around Central Park. I love the vitality of NYC, and the diversity. I didn't recognize the foreign (to me) languages, but that didn't mean I appreciated them any the less.

Visiting NYC was like seeing a richly fibered tapestry. Who cannot love it?

Alone

She stands among fields
rolling outward towards the horizon,
like an ocean
of windswept swells.
Curling around the soft curves
of her neck,
the wind lifts each strand of blond hair
as if it were the long blades of rye
in which she stands.
Her warm brown eyes touch
the ocean's advance with a dream
that is washed away,
as were her footprints
in the sand moments ago.
