Tonight I hung out with a friend at the beach. We went there with a blanket and some food and sat there and watched the sun go down while talking about anything and everything.

Our days in high school, Christian things, our first dates and experiences with girls way back when, some funny life experiences...all kinds of things.

All around us were people who had small bonfires going.

June 25, 2009: Today is 4 weeks since I arrived. I have had the double-dip of: 1) going, going, going & 2) the island-time syndrome with oceanic cable to end up not having any internet connection. It should be hooked up tomorrow & if this blog update hits my page on Friday, that will be a pretty good sign that it all went successful. If not, then I’ll bet it will work itself out sooner or later. Anyhow, I am going to touch on a few highlights of my first month living in Hawaii:

Weather, crime, shopping, anchor stores, taxes. well water/public water, floodzones, insurance premiums, sales/luxury taxes, what is Alligator Lake like?
No small children so school is not an issue

Well after months and months and post after post, I finally did it!! I finally got to 10,000 posts at 11:25pm on 06-26-09! 5 figure numbers now!! Boy, does it feel good!! I'm moving on up now with the big City-Data "guys".
