There is a poem that I first saw on an embroidered sampler,

the sort of hand craft item that used to hang in New England

parlors. Perhaps you have it, or have seen it.

Surrounded by fancy stitches depicting flowers and garden

paths and gates, the text goes:

The kiss of the sun for pardon,
The song of the birds for mirth,
I am nearer to God in my garden
Than anywhere else on earth” ...

The health care bill being promoted by Obama and being rammed through Congress is an absolute monster.

The Republicans have come up with a visual representation of what it will be like to traverse the various agencies and departments that will oversee it's implementation if it passes both houses of Congress.

And of course to pay for it Congress will tax American's. Oh..never mind it's just some rich Americans that will be taxed. No skin of my back...right?

Not long ago, I responded to a Dog thread that asked if my dog would protect me. I answered with my opinion that I had chosen a breed not known for protection, and added that I thought people that bought dogs for protection were fearful, and/or aggressive.

My post brought on some pretty aggressive replies, to which I attempted to make amends. After considering the exchange, I've decided that I was correct in my statement. Despite both person's responses that they were neither fearful...
