The horrendously long queue consisted mostly of the poor, lower-middle class and an extraordinary amount of young adults. There were a few middle-class in attendance and a few people that could be considered well-to-do but the rich aristocrats seemed to be unburdened by the need to go there. Somehow, perhaps in a different building at a different location, the government had set up a separate place for them with nice, smiling workers. Not here, though. Here every patron was merely a flea or perhaps...

My blindness and how the Lord is using the Body to help me see!

This morning a friend of mine took me out to breakfast and got together with me to fellowship and I was reminded through our time of how the Lord uses the Body to help each of us become more like Christ.

One of my strong points is that I know the Bible quite well. I can discuss doctrinal issues with the best of them. Partly because of that solid Christian foundation and perhaps because there may be some spiritual gift of some sorts regarding discernment in there somewhere too...little...

While we seek the friendship of people that subscribe to our way of looking at the world -- and trust me I appreciate my friendly friends!, it is our enemies that teach us the most about the world. From whom else can we learn to see the reality of our world, if not those diametrically opposite from our own perspective?

As our greatest teachers, we must love them.
