Bigun, Ritzie, and Peppers

Posted 04-21-2012 at 11:19 PM by LookinForMayberry

Bigun doesn't eat carrots. He likes cauliflower cores and broccoli stems, but he LOVES bell peppers: green peppers, red peppers, yellow peppers, orange peppers. When the chopping block comes out in the kitchen, Bigun is THERE, hoping. If the peppers come out, one would think I was chopping up beef steaks.

Today's lunch was a large garden salad, and I had 2/3rds of an orange bell pepper that I cut from the core. After removing the seed pod, I pulled what remained of the flesh from...

Sunday School - April 22, 2012

Posted 04-21-2012 at 07:49 PM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

Affirmation: I don't sit around waiting for God to produce my harvest. I find precious promises from the Word of God and plant them in my heart and in my life.

Our vision is linked with our calling. If you feel you have not defined the vision God has for you in this season of your life, ask Him to clarify your call. Out of that call, allow Him to define your vision and show you the direction you are to take. - Chuck Pierce

It is the Christian's calling to be a priest...

Almost Gone

Posted 04-21-2012 at 10:33 AM by woodworkingmenace (History)

The rash is almost gone now...(Or, it may be gone, but my Wife didnt check it this morning, as she was preparing to go on a long venture with her Sister to Ashtabula, for an all day excursion, via a baby shower from one of her Cousins, Jenny. After 5 boys, she is now going to have her first Girl!! Congradulations Jenny and John!!).

My legs are starting to 'itch' a lot, an I have to use this long handled shoe horn to scratch it with... If it wasnt for the appointments I have this week...

Posted 04-21-2012 at 10:18 AM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

There is always a time and a place for everything in life. In the case of seeing things like flower beds and bushes growing, you want to be sure that everything looks even halfway presentable for those who live at a residence. The residence in question for this post happens to be an apartment complex. You'd think the grounds crew would have figured out that something had gone wrong during last year's drought.

Here's the dill, pickle: There's a long line of shrubs...

Scattershooting Once More / Can Radio Still Be Relevant?

Posted 04-21-2012 at 09:47 AM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

I'm long overdue for more scattershooting, so let's do this right here. This is the time where I go here, there, and anywhere whenever something on my mind just has to be regurgitated. And I don't think you'd mind......

********

In the era of AM, FM, and now XM, the question can often be asked: Can radio still be a relevant component in everyday living? The answer's yes. Where corporate conglomerates are seeking to make radio less local...
