Located in California's East Bay, off Highway 580, is a little known "secret" community. It is called Point Richmond, which is one of the oldest (early 1900's) and famous (World War II, Rosie the Riveter) places in the state and a district of the City of Richmond.

Point Richmond has little to no fog and a temperate climate almost year round. The "Point" as it's called by the residents is filled with colorfully landscaped locations, beautiful old homes as well as new luxiurious ones, condos, and lots of affordable rentals. It's a great place to walk being both flat and hilly. One can walk from "historic" downtown to the bay in a matter of minutes. Point Richmond is animal friendly even with chickens and goats seen from time to time....

When I was graduating from high school ('74), the student adviser looked over my academic records and informed me: "Given your test scores and grades, you could probably do anything you want. Since you are a woman, I suggest Accounting, Nursing, or Teaching."

My Wife went to the varous stores around the area to get paint for the scrap deck, (what else to call it? We made it out of junk lumber-?shelves they ripped out of the store-> from the electrical shop next door, and the owner said it never served a better purpose LOL)...
