Our City San Diego

Posted 08-25-2017 at 06:14 PM by SD4226

Know it All? Based Upon...What, Exactly?

Posted 08-24-2017 at 10:27 AM by Blondebaerde

Every GF I've ever had who fancies herself an armchair psychologist who knows "better than me" how to run...well, hell: just about everything? Cute and funny first few times, before I realize with dawning horror it's behavior they pretty much all share and goes along with the rest.

Or, worse, the domineering guy who controls you not out of any claim to special knowlege, but more that "she needs a firm hand" or similar? I've behaved that way, a (very) few times...

Posted 08-23-2017 at 05:06 PM by Blondebaerde
Updated 10-01-2017 at 09:48 PM by Blondebaerde

Y'know, every once in awhile these clownish "Top 20" (or 30, or 100) lists get things right. This one just about nailed it for unsung Rock heroes: magnificent bassists.

Impressions:

Tony Levin and the Chapman Stick! John Myung and his five and six string basses, closely accompanying John Petrucci (metal guitar virtuoso!). Not sure why Steve Harris of Iron Maiden isn't top-5...No....

Updated 08-23-2017 at 03:37 PM by Katiethegreat

Well I read on chaos yesterday morning, mostly creation myths with cosmic eggs that birth the sun, moon and cosmos, serpents as chaos energy and gods of divine order that defeat them. Also universes born out of nothing, or between lovers parting, how funny a universe born out of the gaps between lovers.I was fascinated even more by astrology, such an ancient art,it's deep symbolism that I somehow didn't delve into before and tried to do my birth chart but I couldn't figure out exactly the time when I...
