East Texas Gets Return Visit From Case

A little more than a month from now, Ol' Case takes to the road once again for more Texas travel. East Texas will be ground zero for this writer's latest excursions.

Tyler will be the place I drop anchor for a few days. I will spend some time in the Rose City and then will visit Jefferson for the first time. The latter has an historic downtown with a few museums and B&Bs. Now, if I had a little more money, I would extend the trip to include a return trip to Nacogdoches....

Travel on the main highways near Grand Rapids. Rush hour in Grand Rapids

Being a resident of West Michigan I can certainly share many "I remember when" stories about the area. The one I want to explain is highway traffic. 5-10 years ago there was no rush hour traffic.
By that I mean there was no slow down from the increased traffic in the area.

Today there are several.
Mostly on 131 between Burton and West river drive during the hours of 4-6pm.

It is now common to see traffic slow downs there and near the I 196/I96...
