The place near us that is the Gold Standard is much, much, much less money but still not exactly cheap. I think the buy-in for a one bedroom is two grand with monthly fees of maybe four which includes three meals a day and the people are great. I have three friends...

The only place I am familiar with won't take people that need assistance. They have to be able to be self sufficient, although you can buy a meal plan. Then, when health starts to go downhill, they step in. I'm sure different places have different requirements.
