A trip to LoneRider Brewing Company in Raleigh, NC

Posted 03-07-2010 at 07:27 AM by North_Raleigh_Guy

Afterall, it did open up well over a year ago right here in Raleigh and it isn't all that far from where I live. The Brewery itself is situated in a warehouse located just off of Westgate Boulevard near where I-540 connects with Glenwood...

Interactive Photo Map of Downtown Raleigh

Posted 08-08-2008 at 09:40 AM by North_Raleigh_Guy

A few months ago I started to link my pictures to a map of Downtown Raleigh I created using Google Maps. This is an ongoing project which I hope to refine over time. Click on the map image below and it will take you to the interactive Google map with links to pictures of Downtown Raleigh neighborhoods and landmarks that I have photographed. You can click on the place markers and a picture of the neighborhood or landmark will "pop-up". I will add to this map as I take more pictures in the...

Until recently I never spent more than $6.99 for a six pack of beer. As a result I’ve spent a lot of long weekends consuming Miller Lite and Pabst Blue Ribbon. Thanks to some of the great people on the Triangle City-Data forum (Props to Mike Jaquish and NewUser) I have discovered the joys of local beer. Being a resident of Raleigh I was thrilled to learn we have two local breweries in the area.

The Big Boss Brewing Company is located in Raleigh and the Carolina Brewing Company is...

When in Raleigh, be sure to check out the many historic neighborhoods in the downtown area!

Posted 07-29-2008 at 09:43 AM by North_Raleigh_Guy

I highly recommend people new to the area check out the areas of Oakwood, Mordecai, Boylan Heights, Five Points and Cameron Park on a nice spring or fall day. The architecture and mature landscaping to be found in these neighborhoods is quite a site to behold. I like to take pictures of historic homes as a hobby and have posted...
