Earthquakes in Seattle

I remember the '65 earthquake. I was in junior high in Seattle, it was just
before classes started. I was walking up the staircase and had almost reached
the top and when suddenly the corner wall looked like it was coming right for me
and then it bounced back again. Then all hell broke lose and students stampeded
down the staircase, trampling me. I spent the next period in the nurses office before
being sent home.

Favorite Teacher

I have two favorite teachers who made the biggest difference in my life. One was my drama teacher, whom we called Coach (which he hated) but his real name was Roy Ketterer. I took his drama class for 3 years and worked on all the school plays, working my way up from prop girl in my sophomore year to the student director in my senior year. I only performed in one play, as a dancer in Brigadoon. The rest of the time, I did everything behind the scenes from doing make up to running the lights. Mr....
