Rome, GA, Johnson City, TN, or Columbia, SC

Posted 03-07-2009 at 08:29 AM by Bellaroma

I'm looking for a place to retire in a few years. I've narrowed it down to these three cities although I am open-minded to other places. I'm interested in good medical care, clean air and the simple life. I don't want to live too far away from stores and such; would not mind living on an acre or in a small downtown area. Can anyone please tell me what they know about any of these places?

Air quality in Johnson City, TN

Posted 02-25-2009 at 08:07 PM by Bellaroma

Can anyone comment on air quality in the tricity area? I'm getting conflicting information and I'm trying to select a city for retirement in the near future. I've read the "bad" air can just sit there and the area is even affected by Oak Ridge in Knoxsville. Please help
