My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego | List of Best Posts
This blog is where I express myself to the world or at least to those who might stop by to read what I post . Maybe God will use what I post (I am a Christian and this blog will have a most decidedly Christian bent to it) to good effect in the lives of my readers.

I may turn some of my posts into a book. I may cease blogging here altogether. Who knows. But for now..I am content to post away in this, my own little corner of the world.

Rather than reading through my now lengthy list of posts you may wish to read what I consider to be my very best posts or you can just read the posts that deal with a single subject category that might interest you.

Please know that I am open to any input on any topic I write about. If you have something to say about anything you see written here please....feel free to speak up in the form of leaving a comment or sending me a PM (private message).

And if you are in San Diego and wish to meet the one and only Carlos (that's me )...drop me a private message. I always enjoy meeting one of my readers!

Thanks.

Carlos

PS. If you want to follow my blog such that you will get an email when I write new posts you can subscribe to my blog.

I am moving out of my trailer and...into a house!

Or at least it looks like I will be if things continue to look good after I meet with the owner of the house tomorrow.

We've already hashed things out on the phone so unless there any surprises I believe I will be moving into an actual house and will have my own bedroom in a couple of days!

Basically I will be trading computer work at $25 per hour for what he would normally charge in rent ($600 per month). That translates to 28 hours of work per month which is perfectly...

I wouldn't get the Swine Flu vaccine if you paid me!

Posted 08-23-2009 at 05:39 PM by carlos123 (My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego)

I would not get the Swine Flu vaccine if you paid me, if I was threatened with arrest for not taking it, if all my money was confiscated by the IRS, or if I was told that I could no longer eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches!!

No way...no how will I subject myself to the hysteria over the swine flu and allow an injection of potentially dangerous ingredients to go into my blood stream with possible serious side effects.

I'll take a case of the Swine Flu any day in...

Struggling with my fear of failure!

Posted 08-20-2009 at 03:38 PM by carlos123 (My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego)

Well...I finally got my web site completed. At least enough to use it in efforts to market my services to businesses in San Diego.

I am very pleased with it and it's looking real sharp from what I have been told by others who have looked at it over the Internet (mostly other entrepreneurs and others I have contact with at other forums).

But now, as sometimes happens with me, I am having to face the fear of failure.

It sounds silly but here is how it goes...

The broken toothbrush and the $50.00 gift!

You know every single time I face an impossible circumstance, of the kind I have been facing these last couple of weeks, God always...I mean always comes through for me and provides for my ultimate need!

Although my faith is not nearly what it should be I am learning more and more through such circumstances to trust my God and to walk in faith.

These last few days my heart has been absolutely at peace. Walking in the joy of the Lord. Content in my relationship with...

Be a Christian publicly...no matter what!

Posted 08-14-2009 at 02:00 PM by carlos123 (My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego)

This morning, during my usual morning routine of reading some news, checking this blog, and otherwise...I read of two school officials in Florida who are facing charges for praying at a public gathering.

The case is a bit involved in that the criminal charge is contempt of court based on a violation of a previously agreed upon agreement between the ACLU and the School District in question which itself revolved around the complaints of some students at how prayers were being done at...
