My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego | List of Best Posts
This blog is where I express myself to the world or at least to those who might stop by to read what I post . Maybe God will use what I post (I am a Christian and this blog will have a most decidedly Christian bent to it) to good effect in the lives of my readers.

I may turn some of my posts into a book. I may cease blogging here altogether. Who knows. But for now..I am content to post away in this, my own little corner of the world.

Rather than reading through my now lengthy list of posts you may wish to read what I consider to be my very best posts or you can just read the posts that deal with a single subject category that might interest you.

Please know that I am open to any input on any topic I write about. If you have something to say about anything you see written here please....feel free to speak up in the form of leaving a comment or sending me a PM (private message).

And if you are in San Diego and wish to meet the one and only Carlos (that's me )...drop me a private message. I always enjoy meeting one of my readers!

Thanks.

Carlos

PS. If you want to follow my blog such that you will get an email when I write new posts you can subscribe to my blog.

How fortunate I am to live in San Diego and to have the friends I do!

Tonight I hung out with a friend at the beach. We went there with a blanket and some food and sat there and watched the sun go down while talking about anything and everything.

Our days in high school, Christian things, our first dates and experiences with girls way back when, some funny life experiences...all kinds of things.

All around us were people who had small bonfires going.

As I sat there and watched the sun set, hanging out with a good friend,...

Yippee! I can actually cross my leg today!

Posted 06-26-2009 at 02:45 PM by carlos123 (My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego)

I have been treating my knee and leg like some piece of fine china. Afraid to use it lest it break on me...again.

Since I don't know what caused the problem in my leg where the knee and then the ankle swelled up on me like some kind of balloon accompanied by fever and pain....I am sitting here afraid to use my leg at all lest the same thing happen all over again.

So basically I have not been using my leg at all if I can help it. Afraid to move at times.

The U.S. is done for!

I do not mean to be all doom and gloom but I do think it's important to be realistic and to make decisions about our future based on reality...not false hope.

Furthermore things are doom and gloom only if one is focused on this life as being all the life there is to be had.

If, as a Christian, a person truly and honestly and I mean really is focused on the next life as that life that they want to be living...then no matter how bad things get here...their eyes are on...

Time to stock up on bread and take photo's of our cash before it's gone!

Posted 06-23-2009 at 07:43 PM by carlos123 (My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego)

It appears inevitable that a cashless society will shortly become a reality. With that will come more government control, less freedom, and less options on what to do with one's money. You can bank on that!

Here's more Cash to become extinct as chips take off | News | News.com.au

And there is a wheat fungus which threatens to destroy up to 80% of the wheat crop. Scientists are desperately rushing to produce new varieties of wheat that are resistant to this fungus but...

Every once in a while...someone comes along and inspires the rest of us!

Posted 06-23-2009 at 11:53 AM by carlos123 (My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego)

Every once in a while someone comes along and rises above their circumstances against all odds to become an inspiration for the rest of us.

The links below are to stories of how an unemployed black man who was all but broke, rose above his circumstances to build something wonderful. That has inspired countless others in turn.

He did what he did in part to inspire others, especially young people to keep them off the streets in the belief that one can be whatever they...
