My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego | List of Best Posts
This blog is where I express myself to the world or at least to those who might stop by to read what I post . Maybe God will use what I post (I am a Christian and this blog will have a most decidedly Christian bent to it) to good effect in the lives of my readers.

I may turn some of my posts into a book. I may cease blogging here altogether. Who knows. But for now..I am content to post away in this, my own little corner of the world.

Rather than reading through my now lengthy list of posts you may wish to read what I consider to be my very best posts or you can just read the posts that deal with a single subject category that might interest you.

Please know that I am open to any input on any topic I write about. If you have something to say about anything you see written here please....feel free to speak up in the form of leaving a comment or sending me a PM (private message).

And if you are in San Diego and wish to meet the one and only Carlos (that's me )...drop me a private message. I always enjoy meeting one of my readers!

Thanks.

Carlos

PS. If you want to follow my blog such that you will get an email when I write new posts you can subscribe to my blog.

Sometimes I get discouraged as I was earlier this morning...but the Lord once again lifted my heart!

You know sometimes I get discouraged. I don't mean just with how things are going economically and otherwise. I mean on a more personal level...with my life.

Call it an ongoing mid-life crisis (after all I am 51 years old...I think LOL) or perhaps a poor diet of sorts (I don't eat very well not because I don't have the opportunity to do so but mainly because I hate taking time away from my computer work to go and cook something better than just peanut butter and jelly sandwiches)....

Yup! That's right.

According to Lord Stern who was once the chief economist at the World Bank and who authored a 2006 study on the economics of climate change...

Quote:
Meat is a wasteful use of water and creates a lot of greenhouse gases. It puts enormous pressure on the world’s resources. A vegetarian diet is better.
That's from Climate chief Lord Stern: give up meat to save the planet - Times Online

So if we are truly serious...

Obama about to put a nail in the coffin of our sovereignty?

I don't recall how I got to know about this, probably by following links to wherever they led me at something I was reading but it's rather alarming.

Not that there is a whole lot of anything that any of us can do about this but it's alarming nevertheless.

Between December 7th and 18th Obama is apparently scheduled to take part in a global climate treaty conference otherwise referred to as COP15.

If this treaty is signed and then ratified by the...

Swine flu concern at near hysteria!

Posted 10-25-2009 at 05:48 AM by carlos123 (My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego)

My landlord told me today that President Obama had declared the Swine flu, otherwise known as H1N1, a national emergency.

I at first wondered whether he was joking or had perhaps not heard the news right but I just read a news story that confirms what he told me.

At the risk of going out on a limb may I say that this appears to me to be utterly and completely ridiculous.

Let me if I may put things in perspective....

The regular flu...you...

The Lord embraces me in His love tonight and reminds me to love others.

Updated 10-20-2009 at 01:36 AM by carlos123 (Added a couple of clarifying thoughts...)
This is a post I don't particularly want to write. At times like tonight I have a wonderful time with the Lord and would just as soon enjoy my time with Him and not share it with others.

Just me and Him where the rest of the world can get lost and be of no consequence to me.

Where me and the Lord experience some intimacy that no one can ever share in. For no one else will ever be inside of me seeing what I see and feeling what I feel like He can by His Spirit....
