My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego | List of Best Posts
This blog is where I express myself to the world or at least to those who might stop by to read what I post . Maybe God will use what I post (I am a Christian and this blog will have a most decidedly Christian bent to it) to good effect in the lives of my readers.

I may turn some of my posts into a book. I may cease blogging here altogether. Who knows. But for now..I am content to post away in this, my own little corner of the world.

Rather than reading through my now lengthy list of posts you may wish to read what I consider to be my very best posts or you can just read the posts that deal with a single subject category that might interest you.

Please know that I am open to any input on any topic I write about. If you have something to say about anything you see written here please....feel free to speak up in the form of leaving a comment or sending me a PM (private message).

And if you are in San Diego and wish to meet the one and only Carlos (that's me )...drop me a private message. I always enjoy meeting one of my readers!

Thanks.

Carlos

PS. If you want to follow my blog such that you will get an email when I write new posts you can subscribe to my blog.

Update from Carlos...

Posted 04-24-2009 at 03:12 PM by carlos123 (My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego)

Just a quick update. I checked just now and had a couple of comments asking what happened to me so I wanted to update everyone. I apologize for not approving those comments until this late in time but I had not even checked here for quite some time.

I have gone through so much this last month or two. Have been so incredibly busy at times that I just have not had time to do much of anything with this blog. I've been trying to sell my window cleaning business up north.

I earn $40 pieces of green paper today and other news...

Just wanted to update anyone reading this with some of what is happening in my life here in San Diego. So much is happening that I have literally not had a whole lot of time to spend blogging.

The applications I handed in at a number of local stores went nowhere. Not one call!

I think perhaps the fact that I have been self-employed for years might have had something to do with it.

Perhaps my having lived in Canada might have been a factor. Or maybe...

No thanks to work hanging on the back of garbage truck!

I applied to two stores today and one yesterday. Tommorrow I hope to apply to two more. And two more after that.

I absolutely HATE taking the time to fill out applications but at this point it can't be helped. I've got to do something to get some money rolling.

My mom in my home country is suffering financial hardship and as her oldest son I need to rise up to the plate and start sending her some money. I wish the government did not require me to hand over my money...

My landlord forgives the rest of my rent!

Just an update.

My landlord forgave the rest of the time I owed him to work off my rent today when I showed up to see what he wanted me to do next. I did not ask him for that and was prepared to work off the rest of the time I owed him but he said that the painting I had done was sufficient to cover this months rent!

I had only worked about 11 hours and had agreed to work 20 to knock off $10 for each hour of work toward the $200 rent I owed him.

Instead...

This morning I got up real early and got ready to do the window cleaning that I had scheduled to do today.

On thinking about the job interview I had also lined up for later this afternoon I decided to postpone it and ask the company some more questions before deciding to make the 3 hour round trip to Chula Vista to go on yet another interview that might have been for an undesirable job.

It may be that I lost the opportunity to get a job at this company as a result but...
