Old

underground railroad

Posted 10-15-2008 at 08:14 AM by Julie Gandley

I moved to Girard about 10 years ago to a house that I was told is 150 yrs old. In talking to some lifetime locals, this house is said to have been a stop in the underground railroad. It is a house that has many features that would lead me to believe this could be true. I want to know if anyone has more information on the underground railroad in this area. I have little knowledge and am just beginning my study.
