I live in the state of Washington and am paying 1100.00 in rent. To purchase a house, would be about 220,000. making my payments at about 2,000. to 2,300. I was thinking, about purchasing an acre for 77,000 and living in a 5th wheel and build a garage for equity and laundry (!) and then down the road as I get equity building a house or selling.
