Every Thing is Just as it Needs to Be, Now

Posted 07-15-2009 at 06:14 AM by LookinForMayberry

Not long ago, I responded to a Dog thread that asked if my dog would protect me. I answered with my opinion that I had chosen a breed not known for protection, and added that I thought people that bought dogs for protection were fearful, and/or aggressive.

My post brought on some pretty aggressive replies, to which I attempted to make amends. After considering the exchange, I've decided that I was correct in my statement. Despite both person's responses that they were neither fearful...

Au revoir, Maine -- I'll be back!

Posted 07-13-2009 at 09:27 AM by LookinForMayberry

Au revoir, Maine -- I'll be back!

I loved your rugged ocean front, with all the waves, wind, and clouds. The lighthouses were magnificent, and all those rosa rugosas!

I loved Portland's Old Port, the bookstores, and the Hilltop Coffee Shop.

It's a Good Life on the water

Posted 07-10-2009 at 06:15 AM by LookinForMayberry

Yesterday we paddled Wesserunsett Lake near East Madison, ME. Such a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy some sunshine on the water.

Maine folks are lucky folks.

So Long, Coastal Maine!

Posted 07-08-2009 at 07:40 AM by LookinForMayberry

We've loved Maine's coastline, beautiful from every point we've seen. Today, we head inland to a place called Skowhegan, and then on to Quebec.

I don't believe in sugar-coating my view of life. My mother was overly romantic, and it was a burden trying to live up to her rosy view of life. I believe in the end, it's all good, but only because we look at the less attractive aspects of life, and improve them as we best are able.

On the way to and from this Sunset Point Campground,...
